I can help.
I draw from a variety of research-based psychotherapy tools. I often pull from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, also known as ACT. ACT is considered the third wave of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Starting in September 2024, I also have been in intensive training using The Developmental Model at The Couples Institute, spearheaded by internationally recognized experts in couples therapy, Drs. Ellyn Bader and Peter Pearson. What I have learned at The Couples Institute has revolutionized the way I work. My intention of doing the training was to help me do a better job helping couples, but the lessons became clearly valuable towards helping individuals, too. When people grow their capacity for self-expression and understanding others better, they reap the rewards of healthy relationships. In the context of more rewarding relationships, their symptoms of anxiety and depression dissipate. If you are a couple or individual interested in learning more about me and the way I work, I am happy to hear from you.
