I am a clinical psychologist who has been practicing in the Upper Valley since 1999. Hopefully, the information you find here will help you decide if you would like to contact me.
I am probably a good match for you if you seek help with any of the following:
Depression • Anxiety
Adjustment to Major Life Changes
Eating Disorders • Trauma
Couples Distress • Family Conflict
When we meet for a first session, I ask a lot of questions about your situation and your life in general. As an invested partner, a compassionate listener and an expert guide, I seek to understand what brings you to my office. At the same time, I am also attuned to your own wisdom and values. Using meaningful feedback, relevant research information, and maybe even some well-timed humor, we would collaborate to create a “doable” treatment plan. My questions and observations would help increase your ability to notice subtle, perhaps unknown, aspects of your reactions. You would cultivate the ability to think about your thoughts and assess if they are useful and/or accurate. Together, we would observe how your patterns of behavior have functioned in your life. As you develop awareness skills, you pave the way to let go of unhelpful thoughts and develop new, more effective behaviors. You become more powerful in creating the life you would like to have. I look forward to hearing from you.
